Per....check out Strobist...and short cut to figuring out lighting especially when using flash.
I think one of the best sites out there.....for flash photography.
On the main page...select "Lighting 101"...great stuff there (and by no means I am knocking your image...just something to help out when using flash outdoors with ambient light...which is a beeech to balance...typically).
